I have a question to ask my fellow bloggers!I'm puzzled about something, okay it doesn't take much to get me puzzled, but I'm really getting frustrated with this problem.
My problem is, I am unable to put links into my blog posts. My question is:
How do I put links into my blog posts that can be clicked on to take the reader to say someone else's blog or specific post or a website for an organization or company?
If there are readers in the know, could you share with me how the process works.
I've tried to include a link before and was unsuccessful. For instance when I wrote my 40x40 blog, I wanted to link to the blog where I got the idea. But my attempt ended in failure!
Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you,
Michelle

Michelle,
ReplyDeleteWhen you are on the new post screen, make sure that you have the "compose" tab active, not the "edit html" tab.
1.) Highlight the text you want to link to.
2.) Click on the link/globe button. You should get a little box to put your link in.
3.) Once you click OK, your link in the composition box should be highlighted.
Be sure you save before you click on the link to check it, as you could lose your blog entry!
Hope this helps :)
Okay, after I click on the link/globe button when the little box comes up and asks for the http:/ where do I get that information?
ReplyDeleteIs that what I copy out of the web address box from the page that contains the information I want to link too?
I'm still a little confused. This is all new for me. I understand most things but for some reason I can't wrap my brain around this!
Thank you for helping me. I really appreciate it.
:-)
Michelle, I got your question on my blog and of course you can link to mine any time you want to. If you still have questions about how to do this you can email me at jencrutch (at) gmail (dot) com. Don't want to put my phone # on here but I think you can get it from my facebook page. Feel free to call if you want.
