Today we yielded to God's timing and said goodbye to Thern Leroy Pope, a good man taken home too soon, he will be truly and dearly missed.

  3. You know, I've always had a hard time dealing with death and the "yielding to God's timing," when it comes to the passing of a family member or friend. Yes, every day IS about yielding to God and His timing; and I try to do that. But I just have a hard time dealing with the forced yielding that death brings. I guess that's why I'm an imperfect, selfish woman who stands in need of God's grace, daily. I feel so badly for his family. His wife who will go home to an empty house and feel the emptiness that his absence leaves behind. Her companion has gone home now and has entered into eternal rest, but I can't help but feel for the ones left to cherish his memory. Yielding to death is hard for me, that's all.
