Okay, so I'm taking the Gypsy Mama challenge to sit down at my computer and write a blog post about where I was 5 years ago. The only problem with that is, I'm a bit feeble mined and can't remember at the present. And to make matters worse, I just stumbled across this little challenge just 5 minutes ago (oddly enough) and there is only 11 minutes left in this Friday.
So, here I am at 11:49 p.m. on Friday night, typing my little fingers off and trying to remember where and what I was doing five years ago.
It was probably doing the same thing I'm still doing, minus working outside of the home. Yes, five years ago I worked outside the home as well as inside the home. (That is a full time job 24/7.) Now I am JUST a stay-at-home mom and I like that.
Five years ago I would have never dreamed that I'd be writing a blog post about what I was doing or where I was five years ago in only five minutes and without editing involved. If you are a loyal reader of mine you KNOW how difficult this is going to be for me. To not re-read my post and re-write it 10 bajillion times is going to KEEL me folks!
Well, I guess I did remember a couple things about where I was five years ago. I am also realizing that I have repeated that phrase "where I was five years ago" over and over. Oops, sorry for the repetition.
My children were five years younger and a little more difficult to handle then. Lets see, they each just turned 16 and 13 this year. So that would have made my oldest 11 and my youngest 8.

It is hard to sit down and think about what happened five years ago, isn't it? I find it's pretty interesting to see what surfaces out of the memories! I'm like you in that five years ago, I wouldn't have known I would be blogging now! And I wouldn't change it now, either. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so glad you did it - what fun to watch the words just come out at will, onto the page free, without editing. I love it. And being mama and working outside the home - yea I've done that too and it's hard.
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing along!

Lisa-Jo, I'm so sorry that I forgot to linky the post up with your website. With the 5 min. crunch and first time ever, I forgot a few things. Next week I'll remember the linking up part.
