If you click on the photo itself, it will open it in another window. That eliminates a bit of the blur.
I have been trying to get a "great" picture of the robins in my yard for weeks now! Everytime I am without camera, the cheeky little red-breasted sneaks show up!
I'm certain they are just taunting me and know full well when I do NOT have my camera!
Last week--whilst I was taking pictures of the ground hog in our backyard, that's a whole other subject altogether--this cheerful little worm grubber shows up. I was taking pictures of the garden wrecker a/k/a ground hog, through the window screen.
So needless to say, these photos are a tad bit blurry. There would have been no way that robin would have stayed put for me to walk outside and take full advantage of his timing.
He was more interested in the worms, than staying still for a photo shoot to please me!
That same day, I went to pick my son up from school. While waiting for the bell to ring, the world's most handsome robin flew up.
Seriously, this bird could have won a prize! A PRIZE, I tell ya! For all I know, he could have been royalty in the United Kingdom of robins.
(Can you tell the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton is on my brain?)
Any who!
The handsome feller flew right up next to my van!!! The sun was shinning perfectly, the wind was causing him to puff up his feathers and he was looking right straight at me, sitting perfectly still.
It was the MOST perfect photo opportunity EVER!
And then there was ME! The forgetful, fat lady in the van . . . you guessed it. . .
WITHOUT her camera!
Oh well, right? There's always next time. . . If there IS a next time. Until then we're all stuck with a bit of Blurry Robin Love, instead. . .
I saw a little bird go hop, hop, hop
So I said to the bird, "Won't you stop, stop, stop?"
And was going to the window, to say "How do you do?"
When he shook his little tail, and far away he flew!

Oh, if you're a bird, be an early bird
And catch the worm for your breakfast plate.
If you're a bird, be an early bird--
But if you're a worm, sleep late.

I wonder how a robin hears?
I never, yet, have seen his ears.
But I have seen him tip his head
And pull a worm right out of bed.

When a robin cocks his head,
Sideways in a flower bed
He can hear the tiny sound
Of a worm beneath the ground.
