Still Counting . . .

Linking up with a holy experience once again, to continue counting. . .

This week I'm counting No.(s):  #0053 - #0062, in my journey to 1,000 gifts.

No. #0053:  Spring break.  The laid back, slow pace, no pressure days.  We can sleep in, tinker around the house, stay in our jammies all day if we so choose and just enjoy being home. . . together.

No. #0054:  A good check-up at the doctor's office.  Our oldest had his x-rays and check-up on his broken ankle, Friday.  It was all good news.  He is healing well and can begin to walk on it some.  What a relief.

No. #0055:  For a husband who knows how to fix things and is always willing too, even in cold weather with no garage.  Our van needed new brake pads and tie rod ends.  He replaced the brake pads this weekend--saving us gobs of money--and will be replacing the tie rod ends this week.  Again, a big savings.  He is amazing and I'm quite certain, he can fix anything!

No. #0056:  A handmade card and handwritten note from my dear friend, Julie.  Made and sent just especially for me.  To encourage me on my walk towards a happier, healthier me.  Physically, spiritually and emotionally.  I cherish her friendship and her faithful prayers.

No. #0057:  For the hug, the kiss on the cheek and the question, "how did you sleep mom?" whispered from the lips of my youngest, half-awake son.  Like clockwork, each and every day, he does the same three things upon waking.  I hope it never ends.

No. #0058:  For the generosity of others.  I won two prizes from two different blog linkies in the last two weeks.  I've never won anything before and then out of the blue, 2 things!  First, I won a copy of Made To Crave, by Lysa Terkeurst over at The Beauty of Sufficient Grace; and then I won an I Love You plaque from DaySpring, when I linked up for Five Minute Fridays over at The Gypsy Mama.  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Kelly and Lisa-Jo!

No. #0059:  I'm thankful for the prospect of growing our own vegetables.  We planted 58 seeds this weekend and I am watching and waiting . . . I pray that God will bless those little seedlings and make them sprout.  I can't wait to get my hands in the dirt and help grow our own food.  It's all very exciting.  There's just something special about the whole process.  Plus, it's something we can do as a family and hopefully have enough to share with others.

No. #0060:  For SoBe Lifewater, Fuji Apple Pear.  Yum and ZERO calories!

No. #0061:  That I see the bottom of the laundry baskets, an empty washer and a barren dryer.  Yayyyyyyy, for laundry that is all caught up and done!

No. #0062:  For lavender scented hand Sanitizer.  It helps this germ-a-phobe through the day.

  1. Thanks for the reminder to notice all of the wonderful things around me. Since my back's been hurting it's been a little difficult. Thing is, I have so much in my life that makes even this temporary pain more than bearable. If nothing else, it's slowed me down a little bit. That can only help in the long run I'm sure. Thanks for your list.

  2. I love the concept of visualizing your blessings through the written word!

  3. Michelle, I’m here again from Ann’s Multitude Monday link.

Of your thank you’s this week the one that is my favorite is: No. #0061: That I see the bottom of the laundry baskets, an empty washer and a barren dryer. Yayyyyyyy, for laundry that is all caught up and done! (although I almost don’t want to encourage such wishful thinking – we both know it is NEVER done – EVER) (◠‿◠) My heart is glad I stopped by to read this.

God bless you and keep you – and all of yours.
