No.(s) #: 0063 - 0072 on my journey to 1,000 gifts. . .
No. #0063: Fresh, zesty, crunchy and absolutely delicious Gazpacho soup homemade by my friend, Ruth. It was the first time I'd ever tried it and I LOVE, love, LOVED it! And . . . she shared the recipe for it. FANTASTIC!
No. #0064: Game nights! Once a month, several of our closest friends gather for a night of no worries, just relaxing entertainment. There's nothing better than being surrounded by GREAT friends, melting the stress away with LOTS of laughter, TONS of fun and some really good food. We chat, we laugh, we chat some more, we laugh some more, we eat and we have some pretty competitive games of Apples to Apples, Catch Phrase, Buzz Word, Phase 10 and well, any game that suits our fancy for the night.
No. #0065: Thankful that my husband was home with us this weekend. Though I was sad for him that he didn't get to go on the Hoosier Hang, with the guys. I was so conflicted because I was so happy to have him home with me and the boys.
No. #0066: For hugs of support and encouragement when the tears start to flow.
No. #0067: I cannot believe I'm thankful for this, but I am. . . for alarm clocks that get my lazy butt out of bed for church on time. (BUT! I dislike VERY, very, VERY much the sound that they make!)
No. #0068 - #0069: I've probably already been thankful for this, I have a terrible memory and can't remember. I'll have to go back over my list and see. But let me just say I am SO thankful for my iPod that holds 1,000's of songs. Songs that I LOVE to listen too. Songs that are uplifting and put a smile on my face every single time I hear them. Songs that put a pep in my step. "It's like a little music in my pocket," to quote Caleb from Sarah Plain and Tall. Well, while I'm at it, I'm thankful for that movie too! Sarah Plain and Tall. It's such a delightful and lovely story.
No. #0070: Scented hand soaps, lotions, hand sanitizers, air fresheners, candles, dryer sheets, laundry detergent, dish soap and well, all that good smelling stuff. I love me some aroma therapy!
No. #0071: For the chickadees, woodpeckers, blue jays, cardinals, gold finches and tufted titmouse birds that I was so distracted by while talking with my friends on game night. God's beautiful creations!
No. #0072: I'm thankful for our trustworthy, honest and very skilled mechanic who fixes the things that my husband can't fix on our vehicles. He is currently fixing the muffler on our Blazer. So thankful for Glenn.
