My very own Christopher Robin came running to me exclaiming, "Get the camera mom! The bunnies are in the front yard! Come on!"
Baby bunny scurried off before I could snap a picture, but momma bunny was sitting still beneath the bushes.
She watched me carefully and cautiously, unsure of what I was doing, her big brown eyes fixed upon my every move.
Once she was certain I was no harm, she stretched out beneath the bush and shaded herself from the sun. She was panting quite feverishly, so I imagine she had just run up from across the street.
Once our fun with the bunnies ended, I went to the backyard to see if they were there. There was no sign of them but when I looked up into the tree I saw this fellow, resting on a dead limb.
He too was quite curious of the "fluffy" lady with the camera, but stayed still as he eyed me. I was able to snap a few shots. Squirrelly was high up in the tree top and my camera had to work overtime to get a good shot.
I may get erked by the groundhogs digging up my yard and the squirrels with criminal behaviors, but I still love the wildlife that is right outside my front and backdoors.
City Critters are the main attraction at our house.
