Poppies, Poppies

Our poppy patch out back is almost ablaze with color.  There is one poppy that has opened to the spring sunshine and several buds about to burst into paper thin color.

I'll have to be sure to watch and see when all of them open so that I can take pictures before the rain strips them of their wispy petals.

Oh how I long to live in the country where there are sprawling hillsides and wide open fields; and places free of power lines and rooftops to take photos in.

I wanted to include this song I stumbled upon on YouTube.  I loved the music and the singer's voice is so wispy, much like the poppy petals themselves.
