He Thinks He Owns the Place

Cats!

You either LOVE them or you hate them. . .

I LOVE them!

My cat is a spoiled rotten, rotund, white, blue eyed piece of work!

Most days he takes it upon himself to roost on anything that suits his fancy.

My bed, my favorite chair, the back of the couch, the heater below the window in the kitchen, any warm radiator in the house, the stairs, sometimes a counter top {much to my chagrin}. . .

You get the picture.

Today it was the air hockey game. . .

It was, after all, in his way!

You do realize, He Thinks He Owns the Place, right?

This air hockey game was sitting atop his favorite window roost.

From this spot, he basks in the sun, naps or watches, stalks and chatters at the backyard wildlife.  It's really quite hilarious!

For hours on end. . .

But today. . .

TODAY!

Somebody carelessly left an air hockey game in HIS spot?

How dare they . . .

Well, I guess . . .

It doesn't matter, really, that the air hockey game was in HIS spot.

Why?  You ask.

Because . . .

ALL spots are HIS spot. . .

Besides. . .  I kinda think he likes it.

It gives him a little "boost" to see the birds.

He pretty much claims any and all surfaces in the house.

Despite my best efforts at thwarting him.

I detected, in his gaze, a slight annoyance over all the picture taking.

At one point, he was so defying, he wouldn't even look at me.

He was utterly displeased that I had DARED to disturb his peace. . .

Finally, he put his head down in disgust and gave in to ALL the picture snapping.

He shot me a devilish look as if to say,

"You're disturbing my peace.  Now buzz off!"

I guess I'll leave him be. . . for now.

But I HAD to put the hockey puck shooter on his back!

He, He, He . . .

  1. Hello to a fellow cat person! Thanks for stopping by my blog, and I had to write back since I too am a huge Anne (with an e!) Shirley. I love the books and the PBS series as well. I think I can recite the entire series, and I can't wait until my kids are old enough to watch it (and read the books).

I Love all the characters, even Ms Rachel Lynne :-)

Oh how many times I have wished I were in Avonlea and in Marilla's kitchen... At least now, living in Maine, I am closer to Prince Edward Island, and we are planning a trip next year. My dream come true!

Glad to have found a kindred spirit in the blog world :-)
