Thrifty Thursday, #5

It's Thrifty Thursday again.  The day when I share with you, all the wonderful things I've found--at great prices--when visiting my local Goodwill store(s).

This first set of pictures is from earlier in the year.  All of the pictured items, are happily installed around my house and I've been enjoying them.

{If you want to see any of the images in a larger size, just click on the image.  It will make it larger and you can hit the back button, to go back to where you were, once done.}

This adorable cobalt blue set of glass birds was purchased for $2.00 . . .

This handsome couple was also, just $2.00 . . .

This handsome fellow, with his vibrant red flower, was only $1.50 . . .

I bought this light blue birdie for .50 cents.  All of the darling blue glass birds, were found at different times and at different Goodwill stores.

Here are my two cobalt blue teddy bears, a painted egg and a little bunny.  All were just $2.00 or less, I can't remember for sure which were what price.

This cobalt teddy bear is going to be a gift for a very special "Blue Glass Buddy" of mine.  I just have to package it up and ship it out.

I love this white vase with the beautiful painted bouquet on it.  It was only .75 cents.

This is a planter (I think) of a pipe.  It was only $1.00 and I am determining whether to list it on eBay for sale.  I'm not sure what to charge for it, though.

It is a Lefton's piece. . .

I loved this little Avon Pin.  I got it at an Estate Sale for .50 cents.

This is the clasp on the back and the Avon trademark.

These cute enamel tea pots were both purchased at Goodwill.  They were $3.00 each.  (I think I had a coupon that day so that made them even less!)

This is in my kitchen.  I love the scene depicted and it was only $1.00.

This is a cast iron skillet with a beautiful painted basket of apples.  I got this for $1.00.

Here's the top of my microwave.  Several recent treasures have made their way there.  I love the laughing and smiling apples--they were .50 cents ea.--and my tin can full of metal cookie cutters, as well as my sow and her little piglets.  LOVE!

I bought this at Goodwill a week ago and forgot to showcase it on last week's Thrifty Thursday.  I picked it up for just $3.00.  It looks great in my all Apple kitchen!

I've had this for some time now, it is a ceramic 3D plate full of apples.  I love it.

Well, that does it for the old treasures!  Now on to the new ones.

Pete and I visited two Goodwill's today; and spent a little over $15.00.  I got a lot of really nice thrifts and used a $5.00 coupon too!  Today was a VERY good thrift day!  I got lucky and scored on a few things that I'm really excited about.

This picture has real pressed flowers in it and the beautiful Footprints poem.  It is sitting on a plate/book holder that I picked up for $1.00.

Here are my glass grapes.  I was excited about these .50 cent beauties!  They take me back to my childhood.  I remember seeing larger groups of glass grapes in beautiful aqua or deep purple.  I always loved them!

These Owl wall hangings are really cute and I have a person in mind for them, too.  She's a fellow blogger and I'm hoping she'll like to have them.

This claw foot bathtub clock, will soon be hanging above the door in our bathroom.  We have a claw foot tub and I just thought it would fit in so well.

I loved this little duck.  So dainty and pretty in green.  The picture frame is broken, but Pete is going to fix it for me.  It is a piece by Hallmark's Marjolein Bastin.

An up close view of my new little friend.  I think she is very sweet.

These little chicks just made me smile and think of Easter.  Had to have them for the china hutch.

I'm a sucker for cobalt blue and I love the Avon cologne containers.  This will fit right into my collection.

You will have to use some imagination on this one.  Imagine this covered in a very thick, yellow, sticky, gooey, dust covered film.  It was DISGUSTING!  Bought it for $1.50, soaked it in a sink with hot sudsy vinegar water and presto, all white and pretty again.

I might put this on eBay too.  It has a chip in the one handle side, but otherwise very nice.

Toby approved!  He gave it a once over.  He couldn't resist.

I love these little recipe cards.  For just .50 cents they had to come home with me!

This school lunch tray is one of my favorite purchases of the day!  I love the color pattern and it will go camping with me this summer.  I will eat many a meal from this tray.

This is a piece made in India.  It is wood and carved so beautifully.

It is an expandable bookshelf. . .

Look at that, pretty cool huh?  It gets fairly big too. . .

It fit all of my new books from last week's Thrifty Thursday. . .

Just love it.

This is another piece that took me back to my childhood.  For just $1.00 it is one of those dancing ballerina music box children's jewelery boxes. . .

The clasp was perfect, there were no tears or rips on the outside . . .

. . . and the inside was just as perfect.  It plays "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."  I think I am on a kick lately.  A few Thrifty Thursday's ago, I purchased a music box that played that very same tune.

I took a short video of the dancing ballerina doing her thing to the Somewhere Over the Rainbow tune.

And, last but NOT least . . .

Oh NO!  Not the fruit again.  Yes, I found some purple grapes and had to take another picture.  I'm sorry, this will be the last of the UN-edible fruit bowl pictures!  I promise . . . I think . . .
