"The dinner table is the center for the teaching and practising not just of table manners but of conversation, consideration, tolerance, family feeling, and just about all the other accomplishments of polite society except the minuet." ~ Judith Martin {Miss Manners}
Today I'm savoring the flavor and sweet aroma {figuratively speaking} of my list of Saturday Simplicities:
- The simple joy of gathering the family around the dinner table, for food and conversation.
- The joy of preparing and cooking meals for all to enjoy. Filling them up and bringing a smile.
- For my love of vintage cookbooks.
- For my favorite set of eating utensils, a special fork and spoon.
- For the joy of writing Acrostic poems. Simply because it makes me happy.
